Namakura Island is an island in the first half of the Grand Line where the Land of Poverty resides. The island has a fairly barren landscape, with dirt and grasslands and a few trees. Its buildings are substantially run down and small, each based on a feudal Japanese architecture style. The island also has a large amount of rocks. For unknown reasons, the island boasts an unusual amount of thunderstorms.
